All of the main beaches on the coast Worthsley, a populat tourist hot-spot, have been temporarily closed after numerous reports of shark sightings.

A Surf Live-Saving helicopter captured the image above whilst performing routine scans of the beach and its surrounding waters, and immediately radioed ground crews, who quickly summoned all whishies from the water and closed the beach.

Whishies in the water could be seen in a state of panic, and swam frantically for sure when hearing the dreaded "shark siren." All whishies escaped the threat.

Mick Tan, head of Worthsley's Live-Saving Association (WLSA), told whishies, "Do not panic, however always be careful when swimming for the next couple of weeks. Swim between the flags at all time, and listen to your life-savers. Swimming in deep waters mightn't be the greatest idea at this time of year."
