Guppy has never been the average whishy. As a child, she'd perform science experiments over going down to the park for a play anyday. Most whishies would spend their spare time at home playing computer games or watching cartoons. Guppy spent most of her time alone in her make-do lab in the shed in the corner of her Nysure background. When she did watch TV, she would watch documentaries on the National Geographic or Discovery Channels.

 

As you can probably guess, Guppy loves learning. Therefore, she loved school. Unlike other whishies, however, she enjoyed class time much more than lunch time. The hours spent between the bells were the times Guppy felt most at home. She would apply herself, finish her top-quality work quickly and then spend the rest of her time reading nature magazines! 

 

During lunchtime, Guppy could be found in the school library, reading, studying, and reading some more. Her knowledge grew quickly, and although she enjoyed all sciences, she found biology (in whishies and in nature) especially interesting. She began disecting plants in her lab, and even a dead frog she found in her backyard one day. Through reading and completing her own experiments, she learnt quickly, and far excelled the high majority of students, and even some teachers, in her school.

 

After graduating at the age of only two and three months, Guppy enrolled and was accepted into the University of Strikaland. She completed a Whishy Biology Course, and finally became the scientist she had always wanted to be, with her own lab, equipment and white coat! 

 

As Guppy continued digging deeper into the mysteries of the world around her, and more specifically, the whishy body, Guppy felt the urge to use her findings to make a big difference. She went back to the University of Strikaland and completed a degree in Medicinal Chemistry.

 

Working with several high-ranked doctors, including Lemon Streams, and potion brewer Gilly Casawell, Guppy has created recipes for several different previously incurable whishy diseases, including Trading Amnesia, Sour Brain and Faintopia. For her work, Guppy was awarded the Achievement Award in Medicine by Strikaland Prime Minister Dorsy in 2015.

 

Guppy still studies daily. One of her favourite places is still the lab in her backyard, which she eventually converted into a high-class facility that she spends a lot of her time in. Now, she teaches Biology at the University of Strikaland and enjoys passing on her knowledge to passionate young scientists.
