Needles Sharpe has been officially warned by the Whishy Racing Series Board for the comments he made on Sunday following the controversial black-flag drive-through penalty he received during Race 2 of the series.
"Absolutely gutted. I'll take third anyday but goodness, I don't know if I've seen such a crazy call. It was a general racing incident, for Pete's sake. It happens. Aurora and I have no hard feelings towards each other - we both see that sometimes cars get tangled up in motorsport. Those guys up there making those decisions really need to have a good look at themselves, and let common sense prevail. Stupid."
Gary Dodger, President of the Whishy Racing Series, called the comments disrespectful at the Press Conference earlier today. He warned Needles that any further comments of that order would result in a fine, or even loss of championship points.
Needles has since apologised but still believes something must be done in Race Control, to prevent the same 'silly' mistakes happening again.
